TYWO’s reaching out to its alumni!
If you’ve ever played in TYWO or CW, we want to hear from you! It is our goal to keep our little family growing and expanding as the years go by. And the best way for us to do that is through our musicians. To receive updates on our performance schedule, tours, recordings and alumni concerts, please register through our musician directory. We’ll send you annual up-dates on what’s going on in the TYWO family and information on how you can be involved. And don’t forget to download your copy of Windchimes, TYWO’s own recently resurrected quarterly newsletter.

The setting for our Anniversary concert will take place on the very same stage on which the Toronto Youth Wind Orchestra made its debut 15 years ago. The University of Toronto’s MacMillian Theatre is also the site of the Toronto Youth Concert Winds' premiere performance ten years ago, so we have a lot to celebrate! To join our alumni band for this event, e-mail us at alumni@tywo.ca. There will be two mandatory rehearsals (dates TBD). If you’d like advertising materials to post, please contact the general manager.
Concert Winds Anniversary Commemorative Yearbook CD
Concert Winds is celebrating their 10th year and to commemorate this special event, we are creating a yearbook CD in conjunction with their first ever recording. We’ll be calling upon anyone who has ever played in CW to submit photos, provide profiles, take part in interviews and share any funny stories about their conductors (sorry Dave, Karen, Colin, Mike…you’re in for it!) If you’d like to contribute, please send your ideas to alumni@tywo.ca.
TYWO’s Going to Carnegie Hall!
Colin’s long-time dream is actually happening! And yes, we do have enough flutes, and no, we don’t need more chaperones. But there are many other things you can do to help. Support our season by coming to the concerts, join the alumni band and force all of your friends to come out or make a donation towards our cause.
